Taking Place On Brockville’s Waterfront
The Rails to Trails Festival is four fun filled days of interactive programing featuring the sights, sounds and delectable aromas of the early 20th century travelling carnival with “Carnivàle Lune Bleue” the pomp and pageantry of Canada’s First Railway Tunnel opening ceremony and the ONTARIO 150 Tour with it’s entertaining cultural programing, and YES a visit from the World’s Biggest Rubber Duck too–QUACK!!
Tunnel Opening Ceremony
Be a part of the Canada’s 150th birthday celebration with the opening of the restoration of Canada’s First Railway Tunnel taking place on Saturday August 12.
It all starts off at 10:30 am at Court House Square with a re-enactment of the 1854 parade celebrating the laying of the Tunnel’s cornerstone followed at 11:30 am with the opening ceremony at Armagh S. Price Park.
